My name is Julie Markle and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. For the past 21 years,  I have been working with students of all ages, from kindergarten to twelfth grade through my role as a school counselor.
Throughout my journey in education, I had the honor of being recognized as the Teacher of the Year for an elementary building, named as a “Top 5 Finalist” for District Teacher of the Year and most recently, the Rookie of the Year for the high school that I serve. I am truly passionate about helping children and teens develop healthier relationship skills, more productive coping and communication skills while they learn how to set goals and live their best life!

Originally from Indiana, my family fulfilled a life-long dream of moving to the island just over six years ago. This change in scenery further ignited my commitment to counseling and helping families navigate life’s challenges and transitions.
I will most often utilize the therapeutic practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy interventions through interactive, engaging activities. Our sessions will support you in moving through life’s challenges related to anxiety, stress, self-esteem, behavioral and communication obstacles.
